Team Ride

We rolled out for a nice team ride tonight. Brian C. and I met in Ada and high tailed it out to Egypt Valley where the trails were as sandy as I have ever ridden. Fun watching the Czar whip his bike around those trails though.

Brian N. and Jerimie met us at the 4 Mile parking lot and off we went. The bikes all held up, no blood was spilled, and we all got a great late summer trail ride in. Gotta get em while we can because Egypt Valley closes down in about 3 weeks for the Orange Army (I'm a member of that too).

Aric is doing some super secret training so couldn't join us and Steve claims to be working in Petoskey but we know he brought his bike north so how much work can he be doing.

I'm already looking forward to the next outing.

Drop it like it's hot!

"I got that mother f&*#$r". You'd hate to be the guy getting chased down by a man with that determination, but that is how Mike handled his business to clinch a hard fought 1st place for he and Steve in yesterday's season climax race at Pando .

A little less "eye of the tiger" in my reaction, my last words were "Man, he is making me go again!?!?" as Brian barreled in to get me out for one final lap, fighting the cramps from heat and exertion. I was relieved to have finished the day off with a great lap and a place holding final effort. 6th place was sitting on the exchange waiting as I rolled it out. 'I pity the foo".

Off Camber put 2 teams in the 6 hour, 2-person sport category and represented 1st and 5th place finishes. The latest in a series of podium results so far this race season.

Kelly Shrift aided her squad to a first place in the 6 hour, 4 person open sport division. That victory was hard pressed from the start and with the stiff competition in their category, I am sure they were elated when seeing the final posted results! Hope you enjoyed the well earned beer and pizza. It was as if you had it sewn up from the start.

Kohl VanBonn and dad finished strong in the 2 person, 12-hour event. Holla!

A special thanks to Aric for coming out to check on his posse. Good luck next week in your race!

Jerimie

What a great time and a great race.

Jerimie,

We are all waiting for you to pen the post race report.

Steve,

Thanks for racing with me. Not bad for a couple old guys.

Aric,

Thanks for coming out with the kids.
