This is one race where the Coast Guard chopper circling overhead was not a very welcome sight. Meant to enhance the prestige of the event, it doubled as a fan, whipping up the 22 degree air which was already punishing to the skin at 9am. However, the cold and sloppy conditions did not stop Off Camber.
This year's race featured an exceptional team performance and individual top ten finishes from Mike Neeley (5th 1:59) and Brian Czarnecki (10th 2:04). Steve Insley rode in at 11th with a time of 2:12 and Aric Dershem finished in the top mix with a time of approximately 2:16. Brian Neeley finished in 2:39 and Jerimie Ike completed the journey in...well, what is a number really? Just another way to get a brotha down.
2010 marks a season of exceptional camaraderie, many miles, races and podium finishes for Off Camber. In looking back, Aric made an impressive run at the CPS standings finishing in 2ND place, Brian N and Jerimie through some anomaly, 'unofficially' WON the 2 man open sport team standings in the Endurance Cup Series, Insley pulled a 2nd place in his painful 6-hour solo at Ithaca, and Mike & Czar briefly saw Jesus on the seemingly never ending loops of Lumberjack. Incidentally, Mike finished with his best time in his last 100 mile race. Need we mention Mike and Steve WON the 2 man division at Pando???
