Off Camber Action at Pando

The Scooby Doo Episode of Racing

"I would've won for Off Camber if it weren't for that Aric Dershem and his Gary Fisher Superfly!"

Good thing winning isn't considered 6th place and Aric did show up to represent Off Camber in the final of the CPS points series events. Much overdue are our props to Aric for a great season and many podium finishes along the way. Congratulations on the 3rd place finish at the Fall Classic and what we may presume to be his birth into Elite/Expert racing.

Brian and I showed up and strapped on the helmets. Short of improving our times over last year, in the words of Forrest Gump, "that is all I got to say about that".

Till Iceman....38 days and counting.

Desire!!!

My fellow cycling brethren!

Look, I've been quite all summer, I’ve let you all leave some updates, and I’ve enjoyed reading every post? Here is one from me to you.

Every race this year to date has been an improvement for me. With that said, I have a desire to finish the year out strong. With just 42 days till Iceman 2010, I am starting to ramp things up again. I’m not talking about going crazy or anything. I'm talking about riding 600 miles in the next 6 weeks. I'm talking about hitting every hill I can find. I'm talking about running or some other form of cross training twice a week on days that I don't ride. I’m talking about eating right and dropping a few more pounds.

On that note, I rode into work this morning and I have to say...I felt good! If I feel anything like that when we go up to Iceman...I’m going to have a good race. I got rained on and rode into a crazy 25 mph headwind for all 20 miles. Like I said…DESIRE!

So here is my question for you all. Are you with me? To quote Jerry Maguire, "who's coming with me?”

One more thing, it’s a tail wind on my way home tonight…I’m out!

Tuesday Night Ride

by Mike Neeley

Steve Insley and I rode a solid 4.5 miles together tonight. We stopped for some juice boxes and cookies before building a fort off the trail. All in all a good ride and we made the most out of not being led around like novices gasping for air like when we ride 25-30 miles with Jerimie and Brian. My mom snapped this pick of Steve and I racing. Steve changed a flat and almost caught back up but I got him at the end.

2 more months of training for the Sno Cone up at Traverse City. We may upgrade to Slush Cup if we keep packing on the training miles. Can't wait to see the rest of the team compete at Iceman! Next week we plan a training ride to Craig's Cruisers. Join if available.
